Position Title: Teacher Aide

Requirements:
Appointment is conditional upon fingerprinting clearance through the State Education Department. Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.

10 Month Position - (September - June), 7 hours per day.

Position Summary:  

10-month position (Sept. – June), 7 hours per day. The district wide Teacher Aide provides functional support to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This position may serve students from kindergarten through grade 12 and may be assigned to any school building, classroom, or program within the district based on student and program needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Support students in classroom and school-related activities.
• Assist with data collection, behavior support plans, and instructional preparation as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with district policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties related to student support as assigned.
• Provide support for toileting for students in need, as indicated on their IEPs
• Provide feeding support, as needed, as indicated on their IEP

Assignment & Reassignment:

• This is a district-wide position and may be assigned or reassigned at the discretion of the Student Services Department and district administration to meet evolving student and program needs.
• Assignments may involve students and programs serving any grade level from kindergarten through grade 12. **This position is designed to provide flexible staffing support across the district while ensuring students receive the services and assistance necessary to access their educational program.

Start Date:  Immediate

Salary:  $18.62 per hour, with an additional $1 differential per student/per day for toileting.
