Position Title: ELL 2024 Summer School Teacher

Salary/Pay Scale: $1,990

Requirements:
•NYS certification as an ELL teacher currently teaching in one of the following districts: Brockport, Churchville-Chili, Hilton, Kendall, Holley and Wheatland-Chili
•A desire to learn more about teaching ELL students in the regular classroom setting
•Minimum five years full time experience teaching ELL students
•Previous experience as a lead teacher for an ELL summer school preferred
•Evidence of regular and frequent participation in professional development for ELL teachers
•Demonstration of leadership and presentation skills
•Experience with utilizing and implementing a balanced literacy approach to teach language arts to ELL students

Description:

The ELL Summer Learning School will provide literacy instruction for current K-6 ELL students residing in the Brockport, Churchville, Wheatland-Chili, Hilton, Kendall and Holley districts.  The ELL summer school teachers will provide whole and small group literacy instruction to ELL students attending the program.  Instruction will be theme based and differentiated.  

Dates & Times:  

• August 1st - Site preparations, training and planning session – 8am-12pm
• August 5^th – 22^nd  – Summer school – 8am – 12pm; no Fridays
• August 22^nd – Wrap-up session – 12pm – 1pm

Must be available all days
